This is a house in Co. Fermanagh. The brief was to restore a derelict cottage on the site with a limited budget. We advised the clients to postpone the cottage restoration and build a new home along side. The new house is placed parallel and 10m away from the cottage. A courtyard is formed between the two. The form of the house is long and barrel vaulted. The barrel encloses the maximum space with least material. It reminiscent of agricultural forms.
