These are two houses for two siblings outside the village of Ballinacarrig, Co. Wicklow. The site slopes steeply and faces south. It has views of the mountains and the Irish Sea beyond. A shared looped roadway leads down to the houses. They are placed at 90 degrees to each other. This enables unimpeded views and privacy. The design of the houses is inverted. The living accommodation is in the upper volume. The sleeping accommodation is below. The roofs of the houses have been folded upwards to open towards the view and orientation.
