This is a fit out within an existing building, the Labour Courts in Beggars Bush. The brief was to refurbish parts of the building to provide reception, press room, conference rooms and court room facities for the workings of the Courts. The key to the project was the variety in spaces. It was important that the fit out could facilitate meetings of large groups of people and that these were supplemented by smaller spaces of varying sizes for break away groups. It was a deliberate strategy to maximize natural light in spaces and to use a controlled and calm palette of materials.
